A program called "Naked Science" on National Geographic will be retacing the exact route flight 19 took and will be observing any unusual phenomenon on the way. It will be airing on Wed., March 2 at 10pm, also Thu., 3-3 @ 1am and 3-9 @ 5pm. I plan on tuning in. My question is, "Gian, are you aware of this special, were you involved in it, as you were in the History channel's flight 19 program, and will you be tuning in(recommending) to watch? Thanks.

Sure enough, Gian was mentioned in the program as the leading authority on the Triangle, with a brief interview. The recreated flight used the same type of aircraft that flew back then, and right around the same time flight 19 first reported instrument problems, he also reported a similar malfunction, which then appeared on the camera plane flying along side. The turn and slip instrument was acting erraticlly. However, they both made it back to their destinations. Various aspects of the Bermuda phenomenon was discussed, which is all included in Gian's websight (almost like they used Gian's websight solely for the program). Ultimately, in their quest to solve the mythos behind the Triangle, all they did was raise more questions about it. The most interesting thing for me was the data from two satellites that indicate that the earth's natural magnetic forces are weakoning more in the triangle area than in any other part of the world. This, however, raises the question of why, which they can't answer yet. They also said that most of the accidents can be explained, mostly by bad judgement (human error). Did anyone else see this program?

No, I knew nothing about it. Nor was I consulted. They own so much footage of me, that I suppose they just inserted me. Was I wearing back and did I have long hair? That lets me know who filmed me and when. Most cannot be explained by human error. I don't know why they continue to make that blanket comment. I've been busy with other projects, so I haven't noticed. But I know 2 major studios have dramatic works in development. I apparently will also be writing the Forward to a new book on the subject. More to come. Gian

I know what you mean about the human error thing; I suppose they will continue to assume this knowing how the media operates. You did have long hair then, so that should help answer the time line. I'm not surprised that you weren't informed. It looks like they flew the airplane along the proposed route, and then apparently added rehashed footage and ideas from your info to fill in for an hour long program. Can't wait for some good reading in the near future though!
