I think you need to do a strong bibliography on the site/page for the sources, especially military, for the Pogo 22 disappearance. It's one of the strongest cases, maybe ever recorded.

I just did a search on the Washington Post archives regarding this incident, and turned up an October 21, 1961 article titled "U.S. Drops Hunt For Plane Lost In 'Skyshield'." The article stated: "A Coast Guard cutter reported sighting flares about 1000 miles off the Virginia coast early Monday, but ships and planes in the area found no trace of plane wreckage or survivors."
